In a November news brief, Catholic News Service highlighted the work of A Nun’s Life, which is funded in part by GHR’s Sister Support Initiative. The ministry began when its two directors, Sisters Julie Vieira and Maxine Kollasch, shared their story and professed their final vows with the Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 2006. A Nun’s Life now consists of a blog, Twitter, podcasts and question-and-answer sessions for women and men considering religious life.
As part of GHR’s dedication to funding programs and organizations that work to ensure a vital future for Catholic Sisters, A Nun’s Life received two ministry development grants in 2011 and 2014, and a social media planning grant.
The profile by Catholic News Service highlighted the new direction A Nun’s Life will take in 2015, including bringing on a third Sister and launching a redesigned, user-friendly, mobile-compatible website at anunslife.org.
