Following an in-depth review of program strategies and stewardship, we have initiated a multi-year transition out of discrete programs focused on interreligious action, Catholic women religious in the United States, and the BridgeBuilder Challenge.
Transitions are a part of philanthropy and bare no reflection on the quality and contributions of the leaders, organizations and communities we fund.

BridgeBuilder® invests in the building and repairing of unique bridges between people, organizations, issues, and beliefs to promote meaningful engagement, and sustainable, community-led change.
Over three successful years, the Challenges sourced over 1700
ideas from social innovators in 185 countries, investing in radical new ways to address urgent global issues at the intersections of peace, prosperity, and planet.
GHR’s learnings are captured in an executive summary and two companion reports that outline GHR’s principles-based journey and describe how the foundation and its partners focused on the process—not the outcome—of community engagement and locally-led systems change.
