CONNECTING DISPLACED PERSONS WITH ARABIC LANGUAGE LEARNERS AROUND THE WORLD

Bridging: Peace & Prosperity
Organization: NaTakallam
Location: Global
Project Duration: 12 months
Funding: $100,000
Organization: NaTakallam leverages the internet economy and the native (primarily Arabic) language skills of displaced and internally-displaced persons from Syria and Iraq by supporting them to become online language partners and connecting them to learners worldwide. NaTakallam will expand its ability to provide displaced persons with access to income, marketable skills and a restored sense of dignity and purpose while users practice language and contribute to the livelihood of their partner, fostering empathy, dialogue and intercultural understanding.
