Fred Miller serves as Chief Operating Officer of GHR Foundation and Managing Director of Alzheimer’s Prevention. Miller began working with GHR Foundation in 2011, leading strategic planning as the foundation grew its assets and expanded its programmatic reach. He became Chief Operating Officer in 2016.
Miller has led the Alzheimer’s Prevention program since its inception in 2012. With the goal of finding a way to prevent Alzheimer’s Disease, GHR Foundation has focused its work on precision diagnostics and prevention trials. GHR has become a leading funder in the field with substantial investments that have led to transformational impact on both diagnostics and prevention trials. Prior to joining GHR, Miller was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company where he served for 27 years. During that time, Miller worked in a variety of industries on issues of technological innovation, corporate strategy and growth. He co-founded McKinsey’s Minneapolis Office in 1988 and helped lead McKinsey’s healthcare practice for almost a decade. Miller earned his MBA in finance from the University of Chicago where he was a Kemper Fellow. He received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics summa cum laude from DePauw University where he received a Watson National Merit Scholarship from IBM. |
