The Faith to Action Initiative recently launched three new resources for the care of orphans and vulnerable children, intended for use by churches, organizations, higher education, groups and individuals. These resources provide an overview of alternative care options available for children who have been separated from parental care, placing a emphasis on family care while recognizing the role temporary residential care plays in the range of options available to meet the needs of individuals.
New resources available from the Faith to Action Initiative include:
- A Continuum of Care for Orphans and Vulnerable Children—part of a research series highlighting key research supporting the importance of family care for orphans and vulnerable children
- A webinar outlining key concepts from continuum of care, incorporating research to guide faith-based action
- A podcast version of the webinar for easy access
We look forward to utilizing these resources as we collaborate with organizations around the world to achieve the objectives of our Children in Families Initiative. To learn more about GHR’s approach to supporting children and families, contact us.
