“Across the nation,” Andy Smarick from Bellwether Education Partners states, “religious and lay leaders are creating new schools, new networks of schools, new governance models for existing schools, new pipelines of talent, new philanthropic efforts, new public programs and much more. But all of this is taking place inside the time-tested boundaries of authentic Catholic education.”
Some of these new models and techniques are currently funded by GHR’s Catholic Schools Initiative, including C-STEM, City Connects and blended learning. These innovative approaches to education are earning national attention. Smarick also highlights the work of Partnership for Inner City Education, which has formed a charter school-like network to ensure local autonomy while providing the benefits of centralized resources.
GHR is committed to supporting innovation in Catholic education, working to ensure urban Catholic schools in the Twin Cities remain vibrant, strong, excellent educational communities. For more information about GHR’s funding to Catholic schools, contact us.
