Hazen Graves is a retired partner of the Faegre Baker Daniels law firm. For more than 30 years his practice concentrated on matters relating to charities and charitable giving. He advised nonprofit organizations of all kinds regarding nonprofit corporation and charitable trust laws, governance, income and real estate tax exemption, unrelated business income tax, private foundation rules, director liability, charitable contributions and general nonprofit business matters.
Graves serves as a committee co-chair for MacPhail Center for Music and serves on the committees of the Tiwahe Foundation and the Giving Voice Initiatve.
Graves was named one of the Best Lawyers in America in Non-Profit/Charities Law from 2008-2015 and the Minneapolis Non-Profit /Charities Lawyer of the Year in 2013. He earned a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School and a bachelor's degree in music from Yale University.
